In theory, the Marvin/AWT applets can be used in any Java- and JavaScript-enabled browser. In reality, some features work only in newer browsers.  Details.

Note:

Molecules built by the MarvinSketch builder can be saved in various file formats noted above, such as mol, pdb, or xyz.

Such molecules can be viewed readily by using a web browser such as Netscape 4.80 or Internet Explorer 6.0 equipped with the Chime plugin. If you need to download Chime first, click here.

_{While viewing a molecule displayed with Chime, the left mouse button enables rotation, while the right mouse button provides a menu including display options. Combining shift or Ctrl keys with mouse buttons provides further options. Right click | Select | Mouse Click Action provides measurement options.}
