Suggestions for
Starting on a Web Page

A simple but effective way to develop and edit a basic web page is to use
Netscape 3.04 Navigator Gold. Although this is no longer in common day-to-day use as a web browser, it is readily available to download from the ZiaNet Netscape archive.

Actually any of the later Netscape browsers (such as 4.8 or 7.1) are also handy and freely available for creating basic web pages. For download visit the Netscape archive.

One approach to getting started is to visit this Netscape site:
Netscape Web Page Templates
Select one of the templates, follow the directions to save it to a hard drive (or even to a floppy disk).

Then use Netscape 3.04 Navigator Gold (or Netscape 4.8 or 7.1) to call up the page you just saved, go to the menu File | Edit Document to begin editing the document. Replace the content with your own.
